Conservancy Place Athletic Complex
This community sports complex will be used for both youth and adult competition from non-competitive recreational play to highly competitive tournaments. The facility includes two football/lacrosse fields and four softball/baseball fields. Two of the softball/baseball fields have synthetic turf infield and adjustable outfield fencing allowing for quick field size changes for different age competitions. The shelter building houses a picnic area, restrooms, and a full concession facility.
Vilas Zoo Dining Plaza
The construction of the two dining structures for the Henry Vilas Zoo presented a whole host of challenges. Not only was construction completed during normal operating hours, but noise and dust production had to be scheduled with zoo staff in order to prevent any adverse effects on the animals on exhibit.
Stewart Lake Park Center
Constructed on one of Dane County’s premier lakefront parks, this picnic shelter was constructed using age-old heavy timber mortise and tenon joinery. Through a Dane County Parks recycling program, all wood timber and wood shingle materials were reclaimed locally from Dane County parkland.
